FED have a number of development boards for the PIC supplied by Duetronix and ourselves. All the Duetronix board types have a 6 pin connector compatible with FED’s PICKey programmer. However FED’s 40 pin development board includes an in-built programmer.
Duetronix PIC Experimenter’s boards.
These projects are all available as bare PCB’s or as pre-built boards with all components. They all have space for the microcontroller, power regulator circuitry, and they all offer footprints for basic I/O components: LEDs, push-buttons, and a trim port that can be used for LCD brightness or A/D inputs, plus RS232 drivers and DB9F serial connectors and have a large circuit prototyping areas for your designs. All have an additional 8 pin socket suitable for EEPROM’s, timers, I2C devices or even another 8 pin PIC.
The 28 pin version has connections for USB circuitry and is available ready built complete with a PIC pre-programmed with USB CDC emulation and USB self programming.
All have an ICSP connector for the PICKey. which is also compatible with the 6 pin ICSP connector of the Serial+ and USB+ programmers and is also pin out compatible with the Microchip ICD.
