 The ProtoPro-20 development system has been designed for developer and hobbyist intending to leverage the features available in the 8 pin, 14 pin or 20 pin device families available from Microchip.
The system is compact and is efficiently laid out in a 10 cm x 8 cm PCB; includes onboard PSU, Communications interface, and additional footprints for devices extending the system’s flexibility. Along with the 20 Pin foot print for the 16Fxxx device (which can accommodate an 8 or 14 pin device in the same socket), an additional 8 PIN foot print is available for devices such as an external memory device, op-amp or a 555 timer (on board POT foot print available), or even another 8 pin PIC.
Tracked power and ground connections enable quick, simple integration and usage. A standard RS232 communications interface is available with DB9 footprint. Standard ICSP interface enables the 16fxxx device to be reprogrammed in circuit. The ProtoPro 20 is available as a bare PCB or fully
assembled.
